Do I need a passport to travel from LA to Sacramento?
so i am flying to sacramento from LAX. Do i need a passport in order to fly? and if i dont what proff do i need to bring to the airport in order to fly?

no, passports are for traveling to different countries. You should bring a military ID, school ID, or driver's license.

Both LA and Sacramento are in the state of California, and California IS one of the 50 states in the United States of America. Why on earth do you think you'd need a passport to go between 2 cities in the US, much LESS the same state!?? NO, you don't need a passport to fly between the 2 cities.

You need a picture ID that is issued by a government agency or two non-photo IDs, one of which must be issued by a government agency. A passport qualifies as a picture ID but your picture ID does not have to be a passport. A drivers license works fine.

That said, the last time I was in LAX it took them over an hour to figure out my radio was a radio. And Even then they never turned it on to see if it would pick up a local radio station! You might want a passport for them except they are on another planet!
