What are the best restaurants in Sacramento?
I'd really like some opinions from people who either live in Sacramento, or travel & eat there a lot. I'm going to be traveling up from Los Angeles with my work partner for a couple of seminars later this week, so we need some really good places to eat at. Please bear in mind he's an ex-Quarterback & eats like a horse, so no 'haute cuisine' or anything. Just somewhere friendly, with great food and a great atmosphere. Thanks, Andie. No crap either. Mc Donalds, DQ, Sonic, and churches chicken .

When I lived there a few years ago my wife and I always liked going to Lucca's on J st. It's NoCal/Italian cuisine, with a really good spaghetti and meatballs.
